Microsoft Build Event 2017
Microsoft’s Build event 2017 took place this week in Seattle, and provided some interesting new insights into the future of Microsoft products.
One of the most talked about topics showcased at the event was the upcoming update for Windows 10 due to be released in September ‘Windows 10 Fall Creators Update’.
The updates focus is on cross platform experiences, bringing Windows to iOS and Android devices.
A new pickup feature, Timeline, described as a personal digital assistant. Allows users to choose from apps they were previously working on and resume where they left off on any device connected.
OneDrive users will also benefit from the new update with a new On-Demand file service.
The new update will have many benefits for both business and personal users. Expect more surprises to unfold upon its anticipated release date in September.
Another popular topic for the event was Microsoft’s Cloud Service Azure. The launch of Azure Cosmos DB, a new multi model database, allows users to choose between several Application Programme Interfaces (API’s). Designed for large, globally-distributed, data-intensive applications, Azure Cosmos DB benefits users by
