The necessity of a backup shouldn’t be underestimated. We’ve all been there, that time when you lose photos from a water damaged phone or files from a hardware crash on your PC. Thankfully those days are well behind us through automation mainly. Having Photos automatically backed up to Google or files to an external drive give you some level of protection.

However, backing up to external drives only is not recommended as a long term solution. Combining this with cloud backup gives you peace of mind knowing whatever happens there will be a copy somewhere.

Our client needed a backup process they can be confident that is secure and accessible for all users. Our Synology solution gives them the security and accessibility they need with the comfort of knowing its all automated and they don’t need to do anything.

It works like a file share on a server, without the cost of a server. Users can access the folders based on the company’s security plan and a backup to the cloud runs daily for all folders. The Synology interface has the added bonus of being able to track changes so the user can easily find older versions of files if need be.
